The first tour, which will launch Nov. 5 in Peoria, IL, will star Kopec, who led the 2012 holiday tour of the musical. Blum will lead a second tour, which begins Nov. 9 in Owensboro, KY.
Elf has a score by Wedding Singer songwriters Matthew Sklar (music) and Chad Beguelin (lyrics) and a book by Tony Award winners Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone) and Thomas Meehan (Annie, Hairspray, The Producers). A cast album preserves the original Broadway production.
Elf premiered on Broadway in 2010 at the Hirschfeld Theatre, where it broke box-office records. It returned for a 2012 holiday run.
The tours will feature direction by Sam Scalamoni and choreography by Connor Gallagher.
Joining Kopec will be Tyler Altomari (Michael), Jane Bruce (Emily), Jacqueline Grabois (Deb), Gordon Gray (Santa), Kate Hennies (Jovie), Kevin Rockower (Mr. Greenway), Matthew Alan Smith (Walter) and Clyde Voce (Store Manager).
