News Two Texas Theatres Celebrate 70 Years This year, two of Houston's most prominent stages, the Alley and the Ensemble Theatres, are collectively celebrating their anniversaries, 50 and 20 years respectively. In honor of the occasions, the theatres are offering the Celebration Series, four African-American productions for $70.

The four shows are:

Having Our Say by Emily Mann, running at the Alley Theatre, Jan. 10 Feb. 8.

Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992 written and performed by Anna Deveare Smith, a co-production of the Alley Theatre at the Cullen Theatre, Wortham Theatre Center, Jan. 21-26.

Two Trains Running by August Wilson, at the Ensemble Theatre, April 17-June 1. Who Killed Hazel Patton by Carl Anderson (aka George Hawkins), at the Ensemble Theatre, June 26-Aug. 10.
