News Tyler Perry to Star, Write and Direct "Good Deeds" Movie Tyler Perry has signed on with Lionsgate to direct and star in his original screenplay, "Good Deeds," according to Deadline.com.

In the romantic drama, Perry will play Glen Deeds, a successful entrepreneur who is about to get married, but suddenly falls for a single mother who is down on her luck.

The movie is scheduled to begin production at the end of April in Atlanta.

In 2010, Perry directed the film adaptation of "For Colored Girls," based on Ntozake Shange's Tony Award- nominated play for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf. He also recently toured the country in his play, Madea's Big Happy Family.

A release date for the film has not yet been announced.
