News Tyne Daly, Marin Ireland, Jay O. Sanders and More Honor Estelle Parsons at Cherry Lane Gala Tonight The Cherry Lane Theatre celebrates its 90th anniversary Oct. 6 with a gala event featuring a starry lineup of performers and presenters.

Scheduled performers include F. Murray Abraham, Lewis Black, Lynn Cohen, Tyne Daly, Crystal Dickinson, Dulé Hill, Marin Ireland, Judith Ivey, Reg Rogers, Mark Linn-Baker, David McElwee, Kevin O'Rourke, Tonya Pinkins, Bill Pullman, Jay O. Sanders, Adriana Trigiani and Mary Testa, as well as playwright Israel Horovitz.

The evening's program features excerpts from productions throughout Cherry Lane's history: The Way Of The World by William Congreve (1924); Cole Porter's Gay Divorce (1960); Mrs. Dally Has A Lover by William Hanley and starring Estelle Parsons (1962); The Zoo Story by Edward Albee (1962); Sam Shepard's True West (1982); Black Humor: The Comedy of Lewis Black (1998); and Saint Lucy's Eyes by Bridgette A. Wimberly.

The program also includes a tribute to Tony-nominated and Academy Award-winning actress Parsons (The Velocity of Autumn, Nice Work If You Can Get It), who made her Cherry Lane debut in 1962 with Hanley's Mrs. Dally Has A Lover. Parsons, along with the film and television producers David and Elizabeth McFadzean ("Home Improvement," "What Women Want"), receive Cherry Lane's Visionary Award for their contributions to the arts.
