News Tyne Daly Will Host Celebration of Late "Welcome Back, Kotter" Actor Ron Palillo Tony winner Tyne Daly will host a tribute to the late actor Ron Palillo — who was best known as Horshack on "Welcome Back, Kotter" — which will be presented Oct. 3 at the Triad in Manhattan.

The 6 PM tribute, which is free and open to the public, will feature Anita Gillette, Robert Bartley, literary agent Elaine Devlin, Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs and Joseph Gramm, Palillo's life partner.

"Welcome Back, Kotter" stars John Travolta, Gabe Kaplan and Marcia Strassman as well as Donna Pescow have written statements to be read at the event. Other highlights will include a reading from Palillo's play, The Lost Boy, and a special video tribute.

Lawrence Leritz is directing/producing the upcoming celebration with co-producers Bob Dio and Elaine Devlin.

The Triad Theatre is located at 158 West 72nd Street.

Palillo died in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, Aug. 14 of a heart attack.
