Umoja Extends Its Run At New London Theatre

News   Umoja Extends Its Run At New London Theatre

It looks as though it's third time lucky for Umoja, the lively South African song-and-dance show that began its West End life at the Shaftesbury, transferred to the Queen's, and has now settled at the New London, which for 20 years was home to Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats.

Umoja's producers have just announced an extension of their booking period to March 29, 2003, so they are at least part of the way to their ambition of running as long as Cats did.

This thrilling show takes audiences on an action-packed tour of South African dance and song, from powerful, throbbing drum-fueled tribal dancing, through gospel, to jazz and modern music — each style infused with the spirit of Africa.
