Based on the film by Bruce Joel Rubin and Paramount Pictures, the touring company features Steven Grant Douglas as Sam Wheat, Katie Postotnik as Molly Jensen, Carla R. Stewart as Oda Mae Brown and Robby Haltiwanger as Carl Bruner.

The featured ensemble comprises Fernando Contreras, Brandon Curry, Evette Marie White, Nichole Turner, Hana Freeman and Shannan E. Johnson with Omar Garibay, Susan Leilani Gearou, Tony Johnson, Beth Stafford Laird, Ben Laxton, Jake Vander Linden, Michael McClure, Jack O’Brien, Andrea Rouch and Maria Cristina Slye.

Additional stops include Chicago, IL; Cincinnati, OH; Rochester, NY; Buffalo, NY; Providence, RI; Hershey, PA; Atlanta, GA; Durham, NC; New Orleans, LA; East Lansing, MI; Pittsburg, PA; San Antonio, TX; Houston, TX; Nashville, TN; Indianapolis, IN; Louisville, KY; Appleton, WI; Saint Louis, MO; Charlotte, NC; Baltimore, MD; Tampa, FL; Fort Lauderdale, FL; Orlando, FL; Worcester, MA; Minneapolis, MN; Los Angeles, CA; and Costa Mesa, CA.

The Broadway production of Ghost The Musical received Tony Award nominations for Best Lighting (Hugh Vanstone), Best Scenic Design (Rob Howell, Jon Driscoll) and Best Featured Actress (Da'Vine Joy Randolph).

Tony Award-winning director Matthew Warchus (Matilda, God of Carnage, The Norman Conquests, Boeing-Boeing, La Bête) staged the production that features special effects by Paul Kieve. The LED scenic design, which gives a fast-paced view of New York City and takes audiences onto a moving subway car, were created by Jon Driscoll. Oscar-winning screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin adapted his original screenplay for the musical, which has music and lyrics by Grammy Award winner Dave Stewart (of the Eurythmics) and Glen Ballard. Rubin also contributed lyrics. The score also includes "Unchained Melody," which prominently figures into the film.

Ghost has choreography by Ashley Wallen with musical supervision and arrangements by Christopher Nightingale, lighting by Hugh Vanstone and video-projection design by Jon Driscoll. David Holcenberg is musical director. Illusions are by Paul Kieve.

Ghost was produced on Broadway by Colin Ingram Productions Limited and Hello Entertainment/David Garfinkle, Adam Silberman, Donovan Mannato, Michael Edwards & Carole Winter, Patricia Lambrecht in association with Paramount Pictures Corporation.

According to producers, "Ghost The Musical is a timeless fantasy about the power of love. Walking back to their apartment one night, Sam and Molly are mugged, leaving Sam murdered on a dark street. Sam is trapped as a ghost between this world and the next and unable to leave Molly who he learns is in grave danger. With the help of a phony storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, Sam tries to communicate with Molly in the hope of saving and protecting her."

The original film starred the late Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore. Whoopi Goldberg earned the Academy Award for her portrayal of psychic Oda Mae Brown. "Ghost" also earned the Oscar for Best Screenplay.
