Understudies from American in Paris, Something Rotten!, Finding Neverland, Kinky Boots Will Stand in the Spotlight

News   Understudies from American in Paris, Something Rotten!, Finding Neverland, Kinky Boots Will Stand in the Spotlight Musicals Tonight! will continue its ongoing salute to Broadway and Off-Broadway standbys, understudies and alternates Oct. 19 at The Lion Theatre with its latest edition of At This Performance.

Hosted by producing artistic director and casting director Stephen DeAngelis, the series allows performers to "showcase their versatility and share anecdotes about their experiences." Musical director/accompanist for the evening will be Eugene Gwozdz. Performers scheduled for the 7 PM performance include Brandon Andrus (understudy for the roles of Terry, Buddy and Sir  in the Broadway revival of Side Show), Will Burton (understudy for the roles of Adam Hochberg and Henri Baurel in the Broadway production of An American in Paris), Sara Esty (alternate for the role of Lise Dassin in the Broadway production of An American in Paris), Mia Gentile (understudy for the role of Lauren in the Broadway production of Kinky Boots), Jenny Hill (understudy for the roles of Bea and Portia in the Broadway production of Something Rotten!), Ian Knauer (standby for the roles of Lucky, Captain and Hennessey in the Broadway production of Dames at Sea), Emily Koch (standby for the role of Elphaba in the Broadway production of Wicked), Cory Lingner (understudy for the roles of Chip and Ozzie in the Broadway revival of On the Town), Trevor Dion Nicholas (standby for the roles of the Genie, Babkak and the Sultan in the Broadway production of Aladdin), Lauren Patten (standby for the roles of  Medium Alison and Joan in the Broadway production of Fun Home), Garen Scribner (alternate for the role of Jerry Mulligan  in the Broadway production of An American in Paris) and Paul Slade Smith (understudy for the roles of Charles Frohman and Captain James Hook in the Broadway production of Finding Neverland).

This event is dedicated to the memory of Kyle Jean-Baptiste, who was originally scheduled to be a part of the evening.

The Lion Theatre is located at 410 W. 42nd St. in New York City. Tickets are $26.25 each and are available through Telecharge (212) 239-6200 or at the box office on the evening of performance.
