Billed as "The Culture Capital: Is New York City Still A Home For Artists?," the 8 PM event will gather emerging artists, critics and culture writers, who will address the question from different angles.
The first part of the evening will include novelist and Studio 360 host Kurt Andersen, critic Justin Davidson, fashion director Amy Larocca and art critic Jerry Saltz. Former New York City Ballet principal dancer Damian Woetzel will moderate.
Later in the evening, February House composer Kahane and book writer Bockley will join Lee, visual and video artist Kalup Linzy, and novelist and story writer Emma Straub, who will give a first-hand account of making it as a young artist in New York. Jeremy McCarter will lead the discussion.
Kahane and Buckley are also scheduled to discuss February House and offer a selection from the musical, which will debut at the Public May 8.
Tickets, priced $25, go on sale April 17. Phone (212) 967-7555 or visit PublicTheater. The Public Theater is located at 425 Lafayette Street in Manhattan
