News   Update: Missing Broadway Shuffle Along Actor, J.L. Williams Promises to Share His Story
J.L. Williams, a cast member of the upcoming Broadway musical Shuffle Along who went missing for four days before winding up in a New York hospital, has thanked his well-wishers and promised to share his story soon.

Williams had failed to show up at the theatre Feb. 10, but cast members confirmed that that actor was located and was recovering in the hospital as of Feb. 14. Williams posted the following message on his official Facebook page Feb. 17:



I want to thank everyone for their thoughts, concerns, messages, calls, and texts. I am OK and looking forward to sharing my story soon. God bless you all!

The actor's mother also posted that her son had been found and thanks those who helped in his safe return.

Shuffle Along cast member Adrienne Warren tweeted the following:

Numerous members of the Broadway community, including Shuffle Along star Audra McDonald, shared posts on social media in an effort to locate the missing 33-year-old actor, who's legal name is legal name Jeffrey "JL" Williams. He did not report for rehearsals the morning of Feb. 10.



She later tweeted following his safe return.

New York Daily News reported that Williams had last been seen Wednesday morning leaving his Bronx apartment to head to work. They wrote: "Williams' husband has not heard from him since the actor left the Jerome Ave. home at 7 AM [Wednesday], according to an NYPD flyer."
