Mary Beth Hurt, late of Oblivion Postponed, and John Cunningham, late of Sylvia, are the last to join the all-star cast director Gerald Gutierrez has corraled for his Broadway revival of Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance.

The 30-year-old Pulitzer Prize-winner will open, under the auspices of Lincoln Center Theatre, April 21 at the Plymouth Theatre, toplining the previously announced George Grizzard, Rosemary Harris, Elizabeth Wilson and Elaine Stritch. The production, which went into rehearsal Feb. 21, begins previews March 28.

With his Pulitzer Prize-winning Three Tall Women having been a hit off-Broadway, on tour and now at seemingly half the regional theatres in North America, Edward Albee's remarkable comeback as a popular playwright is ready to move to this new stage.

A Delicate Balance is the story of a neurotic Connecticut family whose lives are disrupted by the arrival of some house guests who then show no signs of leaving.

This revival is produced by the Lincoln Center Theatre, and would have opened at Lincoln Center's Vivian Beaumont Theatre, which is being renovated. Sets are by John Lee Beatty, costumes by Jane Greenwood and lighting by Pat Collins. The original 1966 production starred Jessica Tandy and Hume Cronyn. The 1973 film starred Katharine Hepburn, Paul Scofield and Lee Remick
