News Updated Version of Schumacher's "How Does the Show Go On?" Will Arrive in October An updated version of "How Does the Show Go On?," the insider's guide for young theatre lovers penned by Disney producer Thomas Schumacher, will arrive in stores Oct. 14.

Originally released in 2007, the latest edition of "How Does the Show Go On?" has been updated to include the Broadway debut of Disney's The Little Mermaid and the national tour of High School Musical.

Schumacher — the Tony-winning producer of Disney's The Lion King, Aida, Mary Poppins and The Little Mermaid — co-authored the tome with Jeff Kurtti. A soft-cover library edition will also be available beginning Sept. 30.

"How Does The Show Go On?" gives young readers insight into the world of theatre, including a glossary of theatre terms, costume designer's sketchbook, an authentic Playbill® program, a front- and back-of-house guide, as well as the experience of a day in the life of a child performer.

The book, press materials state, "is a totally unique guide to what goes on behind the curtain. From informative descriptions of the playwright, choreographer, stage manager and fight director to explanations about the role of the set designer, composer, usher, director and leading lady, Schumacher has created a stimulating, interactive and all together indispensable introduction to the theatre."

The 128-page hardcover book is available from Disney Publishing World Wide. Visit www.howdoestheshowgoon.com for further information.
