Kotis' section covers his initial inspiration for the show during a vacation in Paris; the show's premiere at the 1999 New York International Fringe Festival; his first meeting of the three Araca Group producers and director John Rando; the subsequent involvement of Dodgers Theatricals; the Off-Broadway and Broadway runs; and the Tony ceremony.

The volumes features 16 black and white photos, including shots of Kotis in Paris, and pictures of Kotis, Hollmann and actress Spencer Kayden's earlier, Chicago-based troupes, The Cardiff Giant Theatre Company and the Neo-Futurists.
