News Val Kilmer Will Play Mark Twain in One-Man Show Citizen Twain Film actor Val Kilmer will present his one man play, Citizen Twain, which he wrote, directed and stars in, for a limited two-weekend run at the Masonic Lodge at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

Show times are scheduled for March 23-24 at 8 PM, March 25 at 3 PM, March 30-March 31 at 8 PM and April 1 at 3 PM.

All performances will be followed by a question-and-answer session with Kilmer.

Created and performed by Kilmer, and seen recently in development by audiences at Disney Concert Hall, Tim Robbins' The Actors' Gang, and The United States Veterans Artists' Alliance Hall, the production, according to press notes, "delves into the heart and soul of Samuel Clemens and conjures forth the great spirit of Mark Twain, America's greatest storyteller....   Deeply entertaining, with great wit, song and prose, the play weaves Twain's biographical themes into a play that proclaims and takes joy in the marvel of words, which, as Twain says in the play, 'Form the ladder to my heaven.' Storytelling was a lifeline for Twain, and in Kilmer's Citizen Twain, this lifeline continues into and after Twain's death, making it an appropriate choice to perform the show in The Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever Cemetery."

Kilmer, who’s starred in such films as “Batman Forever,” “The Saint” and “Alexander,” is also an experienced stage trouper. Off-Broadway, he has appeared in The Slab Boys, Henry IV Part I and Tis Pity She’s a Whore, and in Los Angeles he played Moses in The Ten Commandments: The Spectacle Musical.

Hollywood Forever Cemetery is located at 6000 Santa Monica Blvd. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased from hollywoodforever.ticketfly.com.
