Staged as part of the Museum's ongoing exhibit devoted to fashion pioneer Valentina Sanina Schlee (known as Valentina), the cabaret will be presented at 3 PM on May 9 and 10. Performing in Valentina are Daniel Bogart (Les Miserables), Jason Graae (Hollywood Bowl's Guys and Dolls, A Grand Night for Singing), Brigid Brady and Brenda Pressley (The American Plan, First Breeze of Summer).

Michael Montel wrote and directed the concert that comprises songs from shows that featured costume designs by Valentina. The cabaret promises songs penned by Harold Arlen, Kurt Weill and Cole Porter. Lawrence Yurman serves as musical director.

Valentina designed gowns for Catherine Hepburn in Philip Barry's Without Love, as well as for Mary Martin in the 1946 musical Lute Song, Lilli Palmer in Bell, Book and Candle and Venus Observed, for Barbara Bel Geddes in The Sleeping Prince, costumes for Tammy Grimes in the musical High Spirits, and for the Cole Porter revue Seven Lively Arts.

Tickets, priced $25, can be reserved by phoning (212) 534-1672, ext. 3395, or by visiting MCNY.

The Museum of the City of New York is located at 1220 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
