On Feb. 28, the CD Tanz der Vampire - Die Hoehepunkte der Welturauffuehrung (Dance of the Vampires - Highlights of the World Premiere) will be presented in front of millions of TV-viewers.

On "Wetten, dass...?", one of Europe's most popular shows, host Thomas Gottschalk can welcome the Vampires-cast in Duisburg (Germany). The numbers for the guestspot are "Einladung zum Ball" ("Invitation to the Ball") and the title number. Other guests on the program are Madonna, Celine Dion and Status Quo.

The Saturday-matinee and evening performances of Vampires in Vienna have been cancelled for the televsion broadcast.

The CD includes 21 numbers at a running time of 79:50. Among the numbers is the show's hit, "Totale Finsternis", which is the former Bonnie Tyler-song "Total Eclipse of the Heart". The Vampires CD will be available in Germany, Switzerland and Austria only. For those who want to order by mail through Polydor, the catalogue number for the CD is Polydor 005570832, for the MC 005570834.

After the guest spot at "Wetten, dass...?", the cast has to hurry home. As Aris Sas, who plays Alfred in the show, pointed out: "A lot of important people from Broadway will be at the Sunday show." While neither a date nor a theatre have been set for the Broadway-premiere, it seems certain that Steve Barton (a former Phantom and Raoul on Broadway) will join the NY-cast. Barton plays Count von Krolock in the show, a role considerably expanded from Polanski's movie.
