Denise Van Outen, a veteran Roxie Hart from the London company of Chicago, is crossing the pond to play Roxie on the Broadway, March 18-April 21.
This is the Broadway debut for the actress, who will return to the London staging after she gives her regards to Broadway.
Her stage credits include the Royal Shakespeare Company's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Les Misérables and Stop The World — I Want to Get Off. She is also a popular British TV personality, co-hosting "The Big Breakfast" and starring in the series "Something for the Weekend" and "Babes in the Woods."
Bob Fosse, John Kander and Fred Ebb's Chicago, presented by Barry and Fran Weissler, plays the Shubert Theatre, 225 W. 44th Street. It won the Tony Award for Best Revival (Musical) in 1997. Walter Bobbie directs, Ann Reinking choreographs "in the style of Bob Fosse."
