Denise van Outen will be back in the West End in April when she stars at the Gielgud Theatre in Andrew Lloyd Webber's award-winning Tell Me On a Sunday. The show will have a press night on April 8, 2003, and will run for a 12-week season.
Tell Me On a Sunday was a hit album in 1979 and was then staged, as part of Song and Dance at the Palace Theatre in 1981. Lloyd Webber has reworked the show — with lyricist Don Black and additional material by Jackie Clune — so that it can run on its own, and there will also be an album released around the same time as the show opens at the Gielgud.
Tell Me On a Sunday will be directed by Matthew Warchus, with Simon Lee as musical supervisor. It will be produced jointly by Bill Kenwright and the Really Useful Company.
