Tony Award nominee Williams and Tyson appeared together in the Tony-nominated 2012 Broadway revival of Bountiful as Jessie Mae Watts and Carrie Watts, respectively. The two reprised their performances in the recent Lifetime Television film adaptation of the poignant play, which also featured Golden Globe nominee Underwood as Ludie Watts.
Michael Wilson, who directed the stage production and Lifetime film, repeats his work for the Center Theatre Group engagement, which officially opens Sept. 26 and will run through Nov. 2.
The Broadway production was nominated for four Tony Awards, including Best Actress in a Play (Cicely Tyson), Best Featured Actress in a Play (Condola Rashad), Best Sound Design for a Play (John Gromada) and Best Revival of a Play.
