Classic Arts News Vera Lee Album Jumps Up Billboard Jazz Chart Vera Lee's 83 and Still Playing With the Boys jumped from number 25 to number five on the Billboard jazz chart this week, its second week on the chart.
The octogenarian vocalist, who has appeared with Philly Joe Jones, Redd Foxx, and Dinah Washington, made her comeback album in collaboration with the veteran soul producers Jerry "Swamp Dog" Williams and Norman Whitfield.

Singer Michael Bubl_'s It's Time maintained its hold on the top spot, with Madeleine Peyroux's Careless Love and Chris Botti's When I Fall in Love at numbers two and three.

Trumpeter Arturo Sandoval's Live at the Blue Note also enjoyed increased sales in its second week on the chart, moving from number 18 to number 11.

Kenny G's At Last... The Duets Album remained at number one on the contemporary jazz chart. New on the chart were Praful's Pyramid in Your Backyard at number 22 and the compilation Touch Me in the Morning at number 23.
