Pippin and Jesus Christ Superstar veteran Vereen, who is currently appearing in McCarter's world-premiere production of Fetch Clay, Make Man, brings his solo show to Princeton after performing it throughout the United States and Europe. The show combines "a tribute to Broadway, Frank Sinatra, and a very special tribute to Sammy Davis Jr." The evening includes such popular songs as "Defying Gravity," "Mr. Bojangles," "Something's Coming" and "Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries." Vereen is a Tony Award winner for his performance as the Leading Player in Bob Fosse and Stephen Schwartz's Pippin. His Broadway credits include Wicked, Fosse, Jelly's Last Jam, Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hair and I'm Not Rappaport.

He starred as Chicken George in TV's "Roots." His memorable film credits include "All That Jazz" and "Funny Lady" (Golden Globe nomination).
