Clark exits the Tony-nominated Broadway revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella to be the artist-in-residence for Musical Theatre for the Pace School of Performing Arts.
Along with teaching during the 2014-15 school year, she will also direct Piazza, the musical for which she won the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award for Best Actress in 2005.
The Light in the Piazza took home six 2005 Tony Awards, including Best Actress in a Musical (Clark), Best Costume Design of a Musical (Catherine Zuber), Best Lighting Design of a Musical (Christopher Akerlind), Best Orchestrations (Ted Sperling, Guettel, Bruce Coughlin) and Best Original Score (Guettel).
Tony Award-winning director John Doyle (Sweeney Todd, Company) was Pace's second artist-in-residence for the 2013-14 school year, and Piazza composer Guettel was the first.
