"Needle in a Haystack" is one of the country-flavored numbers by composer-lyricist-librettist-director Willard Beckham. The video is produced by Art Meet Commerce.
The Nashville-set show started rehearsals on March 21. Varla Jean Merman, Leslie Jordan, Jim Newman and Jenn Collela also star in the tale of Music City stardom, romance and competition, which begins performances April 28 at the Little Shubert Theatre. Opening night is May 19. The limited engagement plays to July 24.
Massey, formerly of Broadway's Next to Normal, plays the kid reaching for country music stardom.
