This week, nominees for the 70th annual Tony Awards including Laura Benanti, Leslie Odom, Jr. Jane Krakowski, Michael Shannon and Cynthia Erivo spoke about the palpable life-changing power of performance and what the world of Broadway means to them.

In the videos below, Shuffle Along released production footage, Josh Segarra and the cast of On Your Feet! wished Gloria Estefan a happy Mother’s Day with a specially crafted song, Cagney’s Robert Creighton and Jeremy Benton challenged each other to a tap off, The SpongeBob Musical offered another peek at rehearsals, the cast of Brooklyn Crush hit the recording studio, Marin Mazzie and Daniel Dae Kim joined the cast of The King and I, Rashidra Scott took the stage as Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, Encores! presented Do I Hear a Waltz? and Frank Wildhorn’s The Count of Monte Cristo had its U.S. Premiere.

  • The new production of Shuffle Along presents the original 1921 musical with additional new story elements about the creation of the show. George C. Wolfe provides the new book material. The original book is by F. E. Miller and Aubrey Lyles; music and lyrics are by Eubie Blake and Noble Sissle. Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Billy Porter, Brandon Victor Dixon, Adrienne Warren and Joshua Henry head the cast. Wolfe directs.
