Andrea McArdle received a Tony nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Musical, but the award went to her co-star, Dorothy Loudon, who played Miss Hannigan. The Tonys also honored Theoni V. Aldredge's costume design, David Mitchell's scenic design and Peter Gennaro's choreography.
