Vintage theatre posters and photographs from the years 1903-1974 are on display May 3 through Aug. 30 at Library for the Performing Arts' Amsterdam Gallery at Lincoln Center in New York. Titled "Drawn to the Theatre," the exhibition includes original posters and window cards, including Al Hirschfeld's poster for My Fair Lady and Paul Davis's portraits for the New York Shakespeare Festival.

Also included are Alex Gard's caricatures of Ethel Merman, Mary Martin and others from the walls of Sardi's restaurant; plus artwork by John Held Jr., Nell Brinkley, Al Frueh, James McMullan, Ben Solowey and others.

Materials are drawn from the Billy Rose Collection of the New York Public Library and private collections.

The gallery is open noon-8 PM Mon. and Thurs.; noon-6 PM Tues., Wed, Fri. and Sat. Admission is free. For more information: (212) 870-1630.
