News Viola Davis Discusses Emotional Emmy Speech on "Jimmy Kimmel" (Video) Tony winner Viola Davis recently made an appearance on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to discuss her recent Emmy Awards acceptance speech.

Davis became the first black woman to win an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series Sept. 20 for her role as Professor Annalise Keating on "How to Get Away with Murder."

Davis has appeared on Broadway as Vera in Seven Guitars, Tonya in King Hedley II and Rose in Fences.  She won Tony Awards for her performances in King Hedley II and Fences.
