Classic Arts News Violinist Kwun Hyuk-Ju Wins Moscow's Paganini Competition Kwun Hyuk-Ju of South Korea won the International Paganini Violin Competition in Moscow this week, Russia's Itar-Tass news agency reports.
The jury, chaired by Sergei Stadler. did not award a second prize; Yakaterina Frolova of Russia and James Lee of the UK shared third place. Russia's Alonya Bayeva was awarded the use, for the next year, of a Stradivarius from Russia's collection of rare instruments.
