News Visiting Mr. Green Playwright Has Reading of New Play Jan. 27 Edna and Joe Forever, a new play by Jeff Baron and Moe Angelos, will get a reading at the Douglas Fairbanks Theatre on Jan. 27. Leigh Fondakowski will direct.

Baron is the author of Visiting Mr. Green, which has a healthy run at the Union Square Theatre several seasons back. Angelos is a member of the Obie Award-winning Five Lesbian Brothers. The cast of Edna and Joe Forever includes Randy Danson (Pericles), January LaVoy, John McAdams, Lola Pashalinski (Fortune's Fool), Kelli Simpkins and Robert Stanton (All in the Timing).

Visiting Mr. Green ran for more than a year Off-Broadway, beginning Nov. 28, 1997. Eli Wallach starred, with Hal Linden eventually taking his place. The two-hander subsequently became a regional favorite.
