Cabaret & Concert News Voice of Family Guy Sets Surprise December 19 Concert at Café Carlyle in NYC Seth MacFarlane, who has released four albums of standards, takes over the legendary cabaret for one night.

Seth MacFarlane, who writes and supplies voices for the long-running animated TV series Family Guy and currently stars on Fox's Orville, will make his Café Carlyle debut with a one-night only late show 10:45 PM December 19.

MacFarlane, who has been building side careers as a movie actor and club singer, will perform numbers from the Great American Songbook joined by his band, including Tom Rainer (piano), Chuck Berghofer (bass), Larry Koonse (guitar), Peter Erskine (drums), Dan Higgins (saxophone), and Joel McNeely (flute). He has released four albums of mid-20th century American pop songs: Music is Better Than Words, No One Ever Tells You, the holiday album Holiday for Swing, and, most recently, In Full Swing.

The Café Carlyle is located inside the Carlyle Hotel at 35 East 76th Street in New York City. Tickets cost $75 to $150, and can be ordered by calling (212) 744-6100 or online via Ticketweb.

MacFarlane, who hosted the 85th Academy Awards in 2015, has appeared in concert with composer-conductor John Williams at the Hollywood Bowl, and with symphony orchestras in Boston, San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago, and Baltimore. MacFarlane was heard dueting with Barbra Streisand on the song “Pure Imagination” on her recent album ENCORE: Movie Partners Sing Broadway.
