Lori Phillips will make her Met debut as Senta in the Met's May 3 performance of Der Fliegende Holl‹nder, replacing Deborah Voigt, who is ill.

Lori Phillips has previously sung the role of Senta with the Washington National Opera in her 2008 company debut. With New York City Opera, she appeared in the title roles of Turandot and Madama Butterfly. Phillips has sung with numerous other companies both in the U.S. and abroad, including Dallas Opera, Seattle Opera, Vancouver Opera, Op_ra de Qu_bec, L'Op_ra de Nice and the Paris Opera on tour in Japan.

Der Fliegende Holl‹nder, conducted by Kazushi Ono, stars Juha Uusitalo in the title role, Stephan Gould as Erik, and Hans-Peter K‹nig as Daland.
