News Voysey Times Two: Mint Reading of Granville-Barker Play to Precede Coming Mamet Version The Atlantic Theatre Company will mount a new David Mamet adaptation of the classic Harley Granville-Barker play The Voysey Inheritance this fall, but those who want to get a taste of the original script beforehand will get their chance on Oct. 23.

The Mint Theatre Company, which experienced one of its first big hits with its 1999 production of Granville-Barker's drama, is bringing the play back for a 7:30 PM Oct. 23 reading. The evening will feature original members of Mint's cast including George Morfogen. Gus Kaikkonen directs. Tickets are $25. Mamet's version of the play will run Nov. 15, 2006-Jan. 7, 2007. The story is about the son of the title family, who discovers their fortune, which has allowed them to live in the lap of luxury, has been acquired through a history of embezzlement.
