The cast will be led by TV presenter and former footballer's wife Lizzie Cundy, real-life footballer's WAG Pippa Fulton, Ariadne the Greek Wag (the comic creation of Alyssa Kyria) and Olivier-winning musical actor Tim Flavin.
The cast also features Daisy Wood-Davis, Amy Scott, Gavin Alex, Chris Grierson, Katie Kerr, Philip Andrew and Nia Jermin.
The musical has music and lyrics by Grant Martin, Thomas Giron-Towers and Tony Bayliss, and a book by Belvedere Pashun. It is directed and staged by Alison Pollard (associate director of the West End's The Book of Mormon), with set design by Charles Camm, lighting by Simon Lord and sound by Peter Hargreaves. It is produced by Peter Frosdick and Paul Nicholas.
According to press materials, the show "follows a day in the life of best friends Jenny and Sharron, two working class girls making ends meet working on the cosmetics counter of a bustling high end departmental haven. Encountering daily the widest range of customers, from the aspiring plain Jane to the all-conquering entourage of WAGs, Jenny longs for escape and fulfillment. As mistress to a premier league superstar, she has tough decisions to make, whilst girl-next-door Sharron battles to retain her friend and control her own reciprocated and forbidden affections towards a new colleague."
Cundy, a former WAG who was married for 16 years to a professional footballer, is a regular guest on daytime television and has appeared on TV's "This Morning" presenting "A Day With a Designer." Other credits include Wedding TV's "WAGS World" and "Sporting Icon WAGS." She has also appeared in two Pierce Brosnan Bond films, and has been a professional model. She has her own column in OK! Magazine, writes for the Daily Express and is currently the red carpet reporter for OK! TV. Fulton, who recently became engaged to Brentford FC's highest goal scorer Clayton Donaldson, is a singer, actress and dancer, who has appeared on TV's "Fame Academy." Stage credits include Funny Turns, Shakers and The Office Christmas Partyp.
Ariadne the Greek Wag is the comic creation of Alyssa Kyria, appearing as a regular host, act and headliner on London’s comedy and cabaret circuit. She has starred in "Splitting Cells" on BBC3 and was a finalist on Sky1's "Don't Stop Me Now."
Flavin was the first American actor to win a Best Actor Olivier Award for his performance in On Your Toes. Other West End roles include Billy Buck Chandler in My One and Only and Bobby Child in Crazy for You, and regionally he has starred in 42nd Street at Chichester and Leicester's Curve and in a U.K. tour of Singin' in the Rain.
