The Yale Repertory production of Moliere's The Misanthrope has sold out all shows for its Jan. 31-Feb. 5 run, but a theatre spokesperson said 12 names are being taken for each show's wait list. As a student production, there is little likelihood of additional performances or any extension.

"We only had 120 seats for each show," the theatre source said, "and we've sold out the entire run. If people want to get on the wait list, they can call on the day of the show. They must be here 20 minutes before the curtain."

Yale School of Drama's production of The Misanthrope was translated into English verse by Richard Wilbur. Helmed as a thesis project by third-year directing student Lisa Channer, the play explores a man's conflict between his love for a woman and his disdain for the society she represents.

Featured in the ensemble are Brennan Brown, Kathryn Hahn, Eric Martin Brown, Adriana Gaviria, Regina Hilliard Bane, Rick Bank, Brandon T. Miller, Robert Devaney, Trip Cullman, Rio A. Puertollano and Amy Morse.

The production team comprises set designer Stuart Polasky, lighting designer Agnieszka Kunska, costume designer Junghyun Georgia Lee, and sound designer Brian MacQueen. Tickets range from $12 - $16. For information and reservations, call the Yale Repertory Theatre box office at (203) 432-1234.
