Jacqueline Hubbard directs the intimate production in which, according to production notes, "a couple of con men and a cool-as-ice psychopath smooth-talk their way into the home of an unsuspecting blind woman. Unbeknownst to her, she is harboring a dangerous prize and he will stop at nothing to get it. This chilling thriller probes the question of what is worse – the evil you can see coming, or the one you can't?"
Running through May 10, Wait Until Dark features Palillo (Inherit the Wind, "Welcome Back, Kotter") as Harry Roat, LaTonia Phipps as Susy Hendrix, as well as Michael Edward Hodge, Michael Barra, Todd Little and Sasha Blue Krivosky.
Designing the Ivoryton production are Dan Nischan (set design), Pam Puente (costume design) and Doug Harry (lighting design).
Wait Until Dark premiered on Broadway in 1966 starring Robert Duvall and earning a Best Actress Tony Award nomination for the late Lee Remick. The play was later adapted into the Oscar nominated film starring Audrey Hepburn and Alan Arkin. Marisa Tomei and Quentin Tarantino starred in the 1998 Broadway revival.
