Walken, currently on Broadway in A Behanding in Spokane, would join a cast featuring Academy Award winner MacLaine, Maria Bello, John Corbett, Bill Pullman and Christina Ricci. Ricci was just announced to make her Broadway debut in Donald Margulies' Time Stands Still when the play returns this September. Scott Marshall will direct Claudia Myers' screenplay that centers on a widow (MacLaine) and her granddaughter (Ricci) who head for Las Vegas when a load of cash comes their way. The film will begin shooting in Connecticut and Nevada in August.
Walken earned a Tony Award nomination for his turn as Carmichael in Martin McDonagh's dark comedy Behanding, which will conclude its limited Broadway engagement June 6.
