Audiences attending the Dec. 4 performance of Walmartopia will be treated to a free copy of the original Off-Broadway cast recording with an onstage signing by members of the company following the performance. Walmartopia began previews Off-Broadway on Aug. 23, officially opened Sept. 3, and will conclude its run Dec. 30.

Penned by Catherine Capellaro (book) and Andrew Rohn (music and lyrics), Walmartopia "tells the hilarious and timely tale of Vicki Latrell, a single mom and Wal-Mart employee who speaks out against her company's working conditions and finds herself and her young daughter jettisoned to 2037, into a future where Wal-Mart dominates the entire world," according to production notes.

Cheryl Freeman (The Civil War, The Who's Tommy) and Nikki M. James (All Shook Up) play, respectively, the mother and daughter at the center of the musical. Freeman and James are joined by Sarah Bolt, Bradley Dean (Company), Stephen DeRosa (Into the Woods, Hairspray), John Jellison (All Shook Up), DeMond Nason, Andrew Polk, Pearl Sun (How the Grinch Stole Christmas!), Scotty Watson and Helene Yorke.

Walmartopia features a tune-stack including "A New Age Has Begun," "American Dream," "March of the Executives," "Baby Girl," "The Future Is Ours," "A Woman's Place," "Flash Them Bootstraps," "Heave-Ho," "Walmartopia," "One-Stop Salvation," "Socialist Paradise," "These Bullets Are Freedom," "What Kind of Mother?" and "Outside the Big Box."

Walmartopia has direction by Daniel Goldstein, with choreography by Wendy Seyb and musical direction by August Eriksmoen. The Walmartopia creative team includes David Korins (sets), Miranda Hoffman (costumes) and Ben Stanton (lights), and is produced by WMtopia, LLC.

Walmartopia plays the following performance schedule: Tuesdays through Saturdays at 8 PM, Sundays at 7 PM, with matinees on Saturdays and Sundays at 3 PM. Tickets are priced at $65 & $45, and may be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or by calling (212) 307-4100.
