News Walnut Street to Present Of Mice and Men in 2007 The Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia will present John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men from Jan. 16-March 4, 2007. Opening night is Jan. 24.

Mark Clements directs the classic story of two migrant workers in California during the Great Depression. The cast includes Bev Appleton, Scott Greer, Darren Michael Hengst, Anthony Lawton, Dan Olmstead, Paul Nolan, Ian Merrill Peakes, Karen Peakes, Lindsay Smiling and Russ Widdall. The set designer is Todd Ivins, the lighting designer is Shelley Hicklin, the costume designer is Colleen Grady and the sound designer is Ryk Lewis.

Steinbeck, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature, adapted Of Mice and Men for the stage from his own novel of the same name.
