Directed by Jeremy Dobrish and choreographed by Tony nominee Dan Knechtges, the cast will feature Barbara Walsh (Company, First Wives Club), Nick Blaemire (Cry-Baby) as Judas Iscariot, Ann Harada (Avenue Q, 9 to 5) as Elke Iscariot, Doug Kreeger (Rooms) as Jesus, Leslie Kritzer (Legally Blonde, Rooms) as the angel Gabriel, Nikki Snelson (Legally Blonde) as Mary Magdalene, Dennis Stowe (Shrek, The Wedding Singer) as Marcus and Tony nominee Jennifer Laura Thompson (Urinetown, Wicked) as the Virgin Mary. The new musical comedy was written by Wedding Singer Tony nominees Chad Beguelin and Matthew Sklar. Judas & Me, according to press notes, is described as such: "It's tough keeping up with the Joneses when your neighbor's kid is the Messiah. Consumed by jealousy, Rheba Iscariot pushes her son Judas to be better than Jesus — and we all know how well that turns out."
The creative team also includes musical director Fred Lassen, costume designer Bobby Pearce, set designer Susan Barras, lighting designer Michael Gottlieb and sound designer David Arnold.
