PlayBlog Washington and Davis Discuss Fences on Good Morning America Two-time Oscar winner Denzel Washington and Academy Award nominee and Tony Award winner Viola Davis, stars of the first Broadway revival of Fences, took time out from rehearsals to discuss their upcoming show on ABC’s “Good Morning America” this morning.

Washington and Davis discuss what attracted them to August Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play, the differences between this production and the 1987 Broadway debut, and the challenges that these films stars face each time they return to the stage.

Washington said, "That last five minutes before we go on that first preview, if you don't have that 'what hell am I doing here?' — if you don't have that, then they say it's time to quit."
