News Wasserstein and Kushner Discuss Jewish Culture Jan. 14 Playwrights Tony Kushner and Wendy Wasserstein will consider whether American Jews are in the midst of a cultural renaissance—or a cultural decline—at a Jan. 14 forum sponsored by National Foundation for Jewish Culture and The Jewish Community Center.

The foundation asked 36 of America's leading Jewish communal leaders, artists and scholars—including Kushner and Wasserstein—about the state of Jewish culture in the U.S. The two dramatists will discuss the findings. Richard Siegel will moderate. The event will take place at 7:30 PM at the Jewish Community Center (334 Amsterdam Avenue at 76th Street).
