As the musical Hamilton burrows ever deeper into American culture, Penn Band, the marching band of the University of Pennsylvania, has debuted a 2/4-time arrangement of the song “My Shot” from the hit Broadway show.
Steven Meisler and Sam Pasternack penned the arrangement of trombones, snare drums, glockenspiels, etc., which they rolled out in a performance at Independence Hall in Philadelphia.

The musical adaptation officially opened March 21 at the Imperial Theatre.
Nadia DiGiallonardo is the music director for the new musical by Geoffrey Nauffts and Jonatha Brooke.
The production will include Bernstein’s incidental music for Lillian Hellman’s adaptation of The Lark, and Menotti’s The Unicorn, The Gorgon, and The Manticore.
The free Times Square concert was presented by The Broadway Green Alliance and Times Square Alliance.
