The Tony- and Oscar-winning composers sing “Bedroom Down the Hall.”

In the video above composer-lyricists Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, who won the 2017 Tony Award for Best Original Score for the Tony-winning Best Musical Dear Evan Hansen, perform “Bedroom Down The Hall,” a song that was cut from the show currently playing the Music Box Theatre.

“Bedroom Down the Hall” was written to be performed by the show's two moms, Heidi Hansen (Tony winner Rachel Bay Jones) and Cynthia Murphy (Jennifer Laura Thompson).

In the critically acclaimed new musical, Ben Platt stars as Evan Hansen, a high school student whose well-meaning lie eventually overwhelms all around him. Co-star Jones won the Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical Tony for her work as Heidi, Evan's concerned mom. The cast also includes Thompson, Laura Dreyfuss, Mike Faist, Michael Park, Will Roland, and Kristolyn Lloyd.

Dear Evan Hansen features a book by Tony winner Steven Levenson, choreography by Danny Mefford, and direction by Tony nominee Michael Greif.
