Off-Broadway’s Abingdon Theatre Company will honor Tony and Emmy winner Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago, Sweet Charity) during its 25th anniversary gala October 23 at the Edison Ballroom.
The evening will include a performance of John Kander and Fred Ebb's acclaimed Off-Broadway revue And the World Goes ‘Round, featuring a cast of Broadway favorites.
Brenda Braxton, a Tony nominee for her performance in Smokey Joe's Café, will belt out the Kander and Ebb classic “All That Jazz,” which she has performed in the Tony-winning Broadway revival of Chicago. Watch Braxton rehearse for the benefit evening in the video above.
Two other rehearsal performances can be seen below: Cunio performing the title song from Kiss of the Spider Woman and Katie Thompson singing “And the World Goes ’Round.”
Also scheduled to perform are Nick Adams, Sebastian Arcelus, Jeannette Bayardelle, Tyler Hanes, Jenn Harris, Olivier Award winner Ruthie Henshall, Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Jeff Hiller, Tony Award winner Cady Huffman, Morgan James, Telly Leung, Bianca Marroquín, Drama Desk Award nominee Julia Murney, Christine Pedi, two-time Tony Award nominee Mary Beth Peil, Jelani Remy, Angie L. Schworer, Carrie St. Louis, Ali Stroker, and Sally Ann Triplett.
