Prior to his return to Broadway, Aaron Tveit made an appearance at another New York City staple: Yankee Stadium. The stage favorite took the field March 28 to sing the national anthem at the start of the team’s Opening Day game against the Baltimore Orioles. Check out the performance below.

Tveit, who has a long, recorded history of rooting for the New York team, is set to play Christian in Moulin Rouge! on Broadway, starring alongside Tony winner Karen Olivo. The musical, based on the 2001 Baz Luhrmann film, will begin June 28 at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.

The actor has previously appeared on Broadway in Catch Me If You Can, Wicked, Next to Normal, and Hairspray. His screen credits include the film adaptation of Les Misérables, Fox’s Grease Live!, and the series Graceland and BrainDead.
