Video Watch Hugh Jackman Perform From The Greatest Showman in Epic Brit Awards Opening The Tony winner sang “The Greatest Show” at the February 20 ceremony.

On February 20, Tony Award winner and Oscar nominee Hugh Jackman opened the 2019 BRIT Awards with an epic-scaled version of “The Greatest Show” from the movie musical The Greatest Showman. The performance of the film’s opening number included acrobatics, pyrotechnics, and a massive dance ensemble.

The British Phonographic Industry’s ceremony for pop music awards took place at London’s O2 Arena. First awarded in 1977, they are the highest profile music awards ceremony in the U.K. Click here for a list of winners.

The Greatest Showman was released in 2017. Written by Jenny Bicks and Bill Condon and directed by Michael Gracey, the film features a score by Tony and Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The film starred Jackman, Michelle Williams, Zac Efron, Zendaya, and Broadway’s Keala Settle as the Bearded Lady. Her solo song “This Is Me” was nominated for an Oscar. The film made $400 million at the box office and continues to top the iTunes charts in its original album form and with its Reimagined album.
