Continuing its summer tradition, Sing for Hope returns for a seventh year, bringing free public pianos to New York City's five boroughs, including a special instrument designed by Playbill.
To celebrate the installation, Broadway favorites Laura Osnes and Corey Cott entertained folks in Herald Square with selections from Oklahoma! and Cinderella, sponsored by the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization. Music director Andy Einhorn accompanied them on the Playbill piano. Watch their performances above.
The city-wide installation features pianos placed in public spaces throughout the month of June. Following the installation, Sing for Hope will transport the instruments to NYC public schools as part of ongoing creative programs to enrich students' lives.
Osnes has been a special guest performer on Playbill’s Broadway on the High Seas cruises. Cabins are now on sale for Playbill’s Broadway on the Rhône River 2 cruise April 7–14, 2019, featuring Melissa Errico, Rebecca Luker, Marc Kudisch, and Seth Rudetsky.
