To tease its upcoming fall programming, American Ballet Theatre has released the above video by Ezra Hurwitz featuring a number of their principal dancers, including Misty Copeland, Isabella Boylston, and Calvin Royal III. American Ballet Theatre’s fall season kicks off October 17 with two world premieres.
A gala performance devoted to works by female choreographers kicks off the fall lineup, with works by Michelle Dorrance, a performance of Lauren Lovette’s Le Jeune, and Twyla Tharp’s In the Upper Room.
On October 19, the company will premiere a new work by Jessica Lang—her third for ABT.
The fall season will also include presentations of George Balanchine’s Symphonie Concertante, staged by Susan Jones. Performances begin October 18.
In honor of the centennial of Tony-winning director-choreographer Jerome Robbins, ABT will present his Fancy Free, staged by Jean-Pierre Frohlich. The mounting also coincides with the centennial of composer Leonard Bernstein. The company will also perform Robbins’ Other Dances, staged by Isabelle Guérin beginning October 20.

Beginning October 24, Wayne McGregor’s AFTERITE plays four performances. Alexei Ratmansky’s Songs of Bukovina will offer four performances beginning October 19.
