In a turn of events, the beltress, known for her Breaking Down the Riffs video series, got taught a thing or two onstage at Feinstein’s/54 Below.

At David Perlman’s (Baby It’s You!) solo concert debut at Feinstein’s/54 Below, entitled Mostly Funny Songs, he was joined by singer Natalie Weiss for a spin on “All By Myself,” in the style of Celine Dion.

In the above video, Perlman teaches Weiss—known for teaching YouTube watchers how to riff in her popular Breaking Down the Riffs series—how to sing like a pop star.

The show featured music direction by Brad Simmons, and the band included Sean Harkness (guitar), Skip Ward (bass), Dave LeBlanc (drums) and Simmons on piano. Melanie Brook also performed alongside Perlman at the August 17 concert.
