News Watch New Musical Video Teaser for Broadway’s Anastasia “Journey to the Past” in this new video teaser for the upcoming Broadway premiere of Anastasia.

Anastasia, the new stage musical inspired by the 1997 animated film, will officially open on Broadway April 24, 2017, at the Broadhurst Theatre. Previews begin March 23.

The show’s producers have just revealed a magical first look at a new teaser for the musical.

The Broadway production will feature the original Hartford principal cast, including Christy Altomare as Anya, Derek Klena as Dmitry, John Bolton as Vlad and Caroline O’Connor as Lily.

The expanded stage production features a score by Tony Award winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, and an all-new book by Tony winner Terrence McNally.

American Express Card Members are the first to access tickets via a presale that runs through September 26 at 9:59 AM. At 10 AM September 26, Audience Rewards will offer a ticket presale through October 3 at 9:59 AM.

Beginning October 7 at 10 AM, members of the general public will be able to purchase tickets via Telecharge.com or by phoning (212) 239-6200.

Tony Award winner Darko Tresnjak (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder) directs Anastasia, which features choreography by Peggy Hickey.

Here’s how it’s billed: “From the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, the new musical, Anastasia is the romantic, adventure-filled story of a brave young woman attempting to discover the mystery of her past. The new musical is inspired by the Twentieth Century Fox Motion Pictures.”
